Dafna Michaelson Jenet is the Senator for Senate District 21, she had represented Colorado\u2019s House District 30 & 32 for eight years. She was the chair of the House Public Health & Human Services Committee and served on the Education and Legislative Audit Committees. She is now the President Pro-Tempore of the Senate. Senator Michaelson Jenet\u2019s legislative work primarily focuses on youth, particularly foster care youth, mental health, and healthcare access.<\/p> <\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n

The book won the social change category of the International Book Awards and earned her a place on Conversation Magazine\u2019s \u201c25 Women Changing the World\u201d list and a mention in CNN\u2019s Intriguing Person column.<\/p>\n

After the 50 States Project, Senator Michaelson Jenet and her husband, Michael Jenet, co-founded the Journey Institute, which works with schools, businesses, organizations and individuals to train in community problem solving and next-level team building. She then published her second book, \u201cPeanut\u2019s Legacy,\u201d detailing the loss of the pregnancy of her son at 20 weeks and her journey through her grief. \u201cPeanut\u2019s Legacy\u201d was named as a finalist in the International Book Awards in the social change category.<\/p>\n

Senator Michaelson Jenet has an MBA from the University of Denver\u2019s Daniels College of Business and a bachelor\u2019s degree from Yeshiva University\u2019s Stern College for Women.
